チャーリー・クリスチャンに影響を受け、独学でギターを続け、1998年には、ルイスナッシュ(Dr)、ピーター・ワシントン(Bass）とのギター・トリオによるアルバム「イントロデューシング」を発表。「シカゴ・エイジアン・ジャズフェスティバル」でプレイするなど各方面で活動中。2002年2月20日、二枚目のCD「Door to Door」発表。彼のようなクラシカルで柔らかいフレーズを弾くジャズギター・プレイヤーはアメリカで数少なくなりつつある現在、彼は貴重なテイストを持ったギタリストである。

絵本作家、画家の伊藤秀男氏のサイト

絵本「けんかのきもち」は“第7回日本絵本大賞”と“第48回青少年読書感想文全国コンクール課題図書”（小学1･2年の部）と第12回けんぶち絵本の里大賞「びばからす賞」を受賞という快挙。平成14年度からの中学校美術教科書に作品が掲載されるなど、最近の伊藤さんはますます腕に磨きをかけております。伊藤さんの書くたべものの絵はとっても美味しそう。おしんこの絵も、おうどんの絵も、お皿や丼や割り箸の袋まで、いかにもおいしそうなのでいつも食べたくなります。ほっこりにこにこしていて温和なお人柄が素敵な方。
